1. Our position
GenzPlays respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to valid notices of claimed infringement and terminate repeat infringers.
2. Only upload what you have the right to use
You may upload content only if you created it yourself or have permission from every rights holder. Common mistakes that still count as infringement:
- Using background music from a commercial song without a licence.
- Re-uploading clips from films, TV shows, sports broadcasts or other creators' videos.
- Crediting the original creator — credit is not a substitute for permission.
- Adding a "no copyright infringement intended" disclaimer — this has no legal effect.
- Assuming that changing pitch, mirroring the image or using only a few seconds makes it legal.
3. Submitting a copyright complaint
If you own the rights to material that has been posted without permission, send a written notice to dmca.support.genzplays@gmail.com containing all of the following:
- Your full legal name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL or video ID of the allegedly infringing content on GenzPlays.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
4. What we do with a valid notice
- We acknowledge receipt within 24 hours.
- We remove or disable access to the content, usually within 36 hours of validating the notice, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021.
- We notify the uploader and issue a copyright strike.
- We keep a record of the notice.
5. Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, or that you have the right to use the material, send a counter-notice to dmca.support.genzplays@gmail.com including:
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- Identification of the removed content and where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
- Your signature.
We forward valid counter-notices to the complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the content.
6. Repeat infringer policy
A copyright strike lasts 90 days. While you have an active strike you cannot upload. Three active strikes result in permanent removal of your channel and all its content. Strikes are also removed if the claim is retracted or a counter-notice succeeds.
7. Trademark complaints
Trademark disputes (channel names, logos, brand impersonation) should be sent to dmca.support.genzplays@gmail.com with proof of registration and an explanation of the confusion caused.
8. Escalation
If you are unhappy with the outcome of a copyright complaint, contact our Grievance Officer, Mirja Minhajuddin, at grievance.genztube@gmail.com. Acknowledgement within 24 hours, resolution within 7 working days.
