Monetization Policy

1. Monetization is a privilege, not a right

Being able to earn on GenzPlays depends on meeting and continuing to meet the standards below. We may pause, review or withdraw monetization at any time.

2. Eligibility

To apply you must:

Be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian apply and receive payment on your behalf.
Have a channel that is at least 7 weeks old.
Have published at least 2 public videos that comply with our policies.
Have a verified phone number on your account.
Have no active strikes.
Have a valid payout method — a UPI ID (India) or a PayPal account (rest of world).
Live in a country where we can lawfully send payments.

3. Applying

Open Studio → Apply for Monetization. You will be asked to confirm your identity details, your payout method, and to accept a declaration that the content on your channel is your own or properly licensed.

We do not ask you to upload identity documents, Aadhaar, PAN cards or bank statements as part of this application. Verification is done through your phone number and your payout account.

4. Review

Applications are reviewed by a human, normally within 7 working days. We look at whether your content is original, whether it complies with our Guidelines, and whether your traffic looks genuine. You will be notified of the outcome in the app.

If approved, a verified creator badge appears next to your channel name and ads begin to run on your eligible videos.

If declined, we tell you why. You may reapply after 30 days.

5. What content can earn

Ads are served only on videos that are advertiser-friendly. The following typically cannot be monetized:

Content that is not original, including reused clips from other creators or platforms with little added value.
Strong profanity, sexually suggestive material, or shocking imagery.
Content about tragic events, violence, or controversial issues presented without journalistic context.
Promotion of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, unlicensed gambling or regulated pharmaceuticals.
Content aimed primarily at children under 13.

6. Invalid traffic

This is the fastest way to lose monetization. Invalid traffic means any click, view, watch time or impression that does not come from a genuine person voluntarily watching your content.

Examples: bots or automated scripts; view-exchange or "sub4sub" services; paid traffic services; repeatedly playing your own videos to raise counts; incentivising or instructing people to click ads; opening videos in hidden windows or with the screen off.

Where we detect invalid traffic we may withhold or reverse affected earnings, suspend monetization, and — for deliberate or repeated cases — permanently terminate the account and forfeit the unpaid balance. This applies whether or not you personally generated the traffic, so do not buy promotion from services that cannot explain where their traffic comes from.

7. Revenue share

Earnings are calculated from ad impressions served on your content. The revenue-share rate is set by GenzPlays and is shown in your Studio; it may change with 30 days' notice. Earnings displayed in Studio are estimates until advertisers confirm them, which can take up to 30 days. Estimates may go down as invalid traffic is filtered out.

8. Keeping monetization

Monetization is reviewed on an ongoing basis. It may be paused if you receive a strike, if your channel becomes inactive for 12 months, if your content shifts to non-advertiser-friendly material, or if we detect invalid traffic.

9. Appeals

If your application is declined or your monetization is withdrawn, you may appeal within 15 days via Studio or by emailing support.genzplays@gmail.com. Unresolved matters can be escalated to our Grievance Officer at grievance.genztube@gmail.com.
