Strikes, Termination & Appeals

Last updated: 1 August 2026

1. Warnings

The first time your content breaches our Guidelines you normally receive a warning, not a strike. The content is removed and you are told which rule it broke. Warnings do not restrict your account.

2. Strikes

A strike is issued for a repeat violation or a serious first violation. There are two kinds:

Each strike lasts 90 days. Your current strike status is shown in Studio.

3. What each strike does

StrikeEffect
1stCannot upload for 7 days. Monetization paused.
2ndCannot upload for 14 days. Monetization paused.
3rdChannel permanently terminated. All content removed.

4. Immediate termination without strikes

Some violations result in permanent termination straight away:

5. What happens when a channel is terminated

6. Appealing

You may appeal any warning, strike, rejection, monetization decision or termination within 15 days.

  1. In the app: Studio → Strikes → Appeal, or the Appeal button on a rejected video.
  2. By email: support.genzplays@gmail.com with your channel handle, the video ID, and why you believe the decision was wrong.

A human reviews every appeal. We acknowledge within 24 hours and decide within 7 working days. One appeal per decision.

7. If the appeal succeeds

The strike is removed, any upload restriction is lifted, monetization is restored, and where the content still exists it is republished. This is why rejected videos are kept in storage for 30 days rather than deleted immediately.

8. Escalation

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, contact our Grievance Officer:

Users in India may also escalate to the Grievance Appellate Committee established under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, within 30 days of our decision.
